Abstract

  • Microsoft is accelerating its transformation to a Devices and Services company. In this session, you'll learn how the company is maturing its IT Supplier Strategy to help deliver the broad range of IT initiatives that enable this transformation:

    Aligning the Supplier Strategy with the overall IT Strategy
    Defining and analyzing IT Financial and Customer Value metrics to identify opportunities of improvement
    Maturing the Supplier Governance process to assess progress, drive change and re-align strategy

Biography

Sameer Gupta (Sameer.Gupta@microsoft.com) is a Director in Microsoft IT with a specific focus on maturing the Supplier Strategy and driving IT Services Transformation. Sameer has over 30 years of experience in areas related to IT strategy, sourcing strategy, IT transformation, reengineering, and operations improvement. He has worked closely with multiple Fortune 500 companies helping them successfully improve their IT strategy and productivity, mitigating business risk, implementing change and driving transformation. He has worked on a number of initiatives to help lower the TCO while improving customer focus. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2012, Sameer was a Director in IT Strategy with KPMG.
